I am really deep cleaning the studio so there is no new art to share...I am staying focused and not giving in the the temptation of stepping to the table and starting any new projects. Soooo....

Wow!

Yesterday was a wild day for tornadoes in the midwest!

We got by with thunderstorms...

and more to come.

Tis the season.

Yesterday was our quilt guild meeting...

...lecture was about crazy quilting.

Lots of fun detail...I love detail.

...and I learned quite a bit.

But the quilts were not the only thing knocking our socks off.

She made a quilt she really loves....

....and covered her car in it.

That's one wild ride.

Way to go...

This geranium was a cutting from last years plant and it survived all winter in the garage.

It bloomed for me today.
Al tho it's a bit spindly...

I love it.

It's a true survivor.

Can't believe it's Wednesday already....

...still spring cleaning.

Found my camera!

It was buried under a mound of fabric in the studio.

Been busy running around having labs done and getting caught up on yearly doctor exams.

But I did get a bag order done and here it is.

She is into sky diving and archery...

...what do you do for that?

Luckily her favorite color is blue so I lined it with sky fabric.

Added some blue flowers.

Then I threw it into a Target bag...done!

Yesterday I heard a bird singing and noticed he was on the ledge at my front door looking in the transome window. My foyer is decorated with birdhouses.....

....Was he or she admiring these fine homes?

or wondering how to gain access?

Or was the bird trying to communicate with the little bird in the cage?

The bird in my cage is a British robin and the bird on the ledge also had a pretty red breast.

Any way I enjoyed watching this creature and bird songs are always welcome here.

spring cleaning & postcard pages

Trying to get spring cleaning done but keep getting distracted by little art projects.

I gave in to my ADD (art distraction disorder) and made some more postcard pages. You know those annoying business reply cards constantly falling out of magazines. As I was weeding out old catalogs I came across these pretty girls in the Anthropologie catalog. Love their hair!

And I did make placemats with my selveges!

And my lunch looks pretty good on them.

Right now the allergies are killing us!

...been a little busy with some projects.

We are having some storms...lightning here.

But some people are having 70 mph winds and golf ball size hail.

Ouch!!

I also took some time out to play.



Danita made these cool spools and I thought I needed some in my studio.

So I made these funny girls.

Now I am off to try to find my camera.

Been using my phone camera.

Random Friday

Last night DH and I colored eggs.

...just for fun...

...no egg hunt...no kids...no reason.

It took all of 5 minutes.

I remember coloring eggs with the kids and it would last for what seemed like hours or maybe it was.

We mixed and created our own shades of Easter colors.

Woke up at 6 am to a wild hail storm.
It freaked out the cats.
I thought for sure that windows were going to break.



Nickel to quarter size hail balls.

Yesterday I turned on the AC because it was so warm in the house.
Crazy Oklahoma weather.



Paper towel art from the eggs.

Easter cupcakes for DH to take to work.

I love Easter but it's so hard being away from family
My BFF called today to cheer me up.
