My other sewing companion...Pippi.

She loves to sit by the machine while it whirrrls.

Actually she needs to constantly be by my side....it makes me nervous tho. I'm afraid she's going to reach in and get stitched. Still raining and damp and cold...DH says it's going to be 90 on Sunday In Oklahoma. He will enjoy that...for me it's too hot too soon.

Where is Spring?

It's cloudy and cold and really affecting my mood. Been working on the studio for as long as my knee will allow.

Then taking breaks and then it's hard to get going again.

Funny how the weather affects your mood. I have much more energy on sunny days even if I don't even go outside.

Sewing bliss!

Once again sewing with my Grandson.

He is helping me with a quilt that I am making for myself.

I am so proud...I showed him how to sew a four square block and his matched up in the center better than mine. He's a natural. The first thing he wants to do when he gets here is head to the studio (which he loves) and start sewing.

These are life's precious moments.

My favorite season is finally here!

Not sure when I will be back to post as I have been called upon to serve jury duty. For four weeks....and that's about all I can say about that. Wish me luck as I am healing. There are only 2 handicap parking spaces at the courthouse and parking is off street where ever you can find it...nice.

Just a quick update...

...I had my knee surgery last week.

Sorry I didn't get to check in beforehand...
...things got a little crazy and before I knew it...
...it was time.
Healing pretty well I think.
My first time up the steps...I should be back blogging again next week.

I had a creative spark yesterday so I ditched my housework and played.

I made little pennants to string across the studio ceiling.

I made a template and cut the shapes from my empty cereal boxes.

Got out my box of paper scraps...

...and went to town!

...adds a festive touch...

...added in some vintage Grandson art.

It was so much fun and relaxing too.

I couldn't stop until I ran out of shapes to cover.
