This is a quilted cloth calendar in book form.

Art Quilting magazine asked me to submit some work and decided this wasn't what they were looking for...oh well...I'll try something else for them. But it was a lot of fun to make. I will show more later.

Today is a beautiful day...nice and cool after a few days of storms and mugginess. So I am up in the studio and need to finally get it organized because I was told by DH that I need to get crack-a-lacking and open my Etsy shop so he can retire. Ha ha...he's funny.

I watched the condensed version of the Royal wedding. So nice of them to take 4 hours and shrink it down to 40 minutes.

I had a cute stitched bunny photo I was going to post and ...well...as you can see i didn't get it done. ...so here is my rusty chick!

Why am I so fascinated with rusty stuff?
I am always looking down in parking lots and such...
...and picking up the rusted pieces as I get "the stare" from DH.

Sometimes finding the perfect rusty piece makes my day!
(I know...get a life...right?)
Well, call me crazy but it's the simple things in life that make me happy.
And the makes DH happy in the long run.
Speaking of running...I am rambling here.

I made this cute jean bag for a 2 years olds birthday.

She loved it.flowers on the back monogram on the front

lined with sweet tiny flowers

I matched the outside flowers to the ones on the fabric inside.

I spent a good deal of yesterday helping my BFF make these hose wreaths. It was fun until I hot glued my finger...I have a rather large blister there now.

It's tulip time!

There she is...

...Miz P...offering her help with my sewing...again!

It takes twice as long to get things done with her so called help.

But she is just sooo sweet and she needs to be glued to my side. I have never had a cat like her. If she loses me in the house, she will sit and cry until I tell her where I am.

I have to get a quilt finished by Friday so I am off to sew for the day.

Mother Nature blessed us with a beautiful day yesterday in the 70's, only to follow it up with a storm and more nasty weather....go figure.
