I ended up making 40 of them. I think I am finished. Tomorrow I will show you where they are residing now. So much fun!

homework reveal

Well, ready or not here she is.

I went through a lot of... like her ...don't like her...but now I am happy with her. I know her eyes are off kilter a bit. I didn't notice until it was too late to fix.

I added a rustied seven to add some interest. The hard part for me was the shabby part. I was apprehensive putting the modeling paste on her face...but I did. I mostly used sandpaper to "shabby" it. I know when she critiques it ....it won't be drippy enough. I had a bigger problem with dripping ink on her face.
I will make the next one shabbier!

I am teaching a class at Paper Crown tomorrow so I must go and gather my supplies and get ready.

little pink houses

A while back I took some wood scraps and made some buildings. They were getting in my way and I picked them up and put them on a shelf and thought...hey I like this as a group.

Mo'a had a good idea...the front doors would make really cute ATC's..hmmm.... Thanks!

This is a sneak peek at my homework. I may show it all tomorrow. I need to shabby it up a bit and add my poetry.

Storms again here last night and today. In fact it's been getting dark in the short time I have been on the computer. I think I need to say goodbye and turn it off.

weekend play

No theater play this weekend...but I did play....

...with my glue sticks. I found that they are great for making a resist. So with my trusty inks and rubber stamps...I had fun.


...and yep, still covering boxes and working on my studio...and doing my homework from Suzi's class.

...just thought I'd share these with you. Try it...it's addicting.

obsessed

OK, I admit it. I am obsessed with collaging containers for the studio. But I have to admit that things are shaping up and it's easier to find stuff when everything has it's own special place. And it takes my mind off of eating.....bonus!

While I was cleaning the studio I found a bunch of decorative papers...more stuff to play with.

I papered my tomato cans from spaghetti day. They now hold my extra pens and brushes.

...and it's fun...

...something to do while the TV is on...

...go ahead and try it...

...recycle something this weekend...

...find a can or box (I used a large shoebox last night)..

...and make it pretty and useful...

magic & other weird stuff

A while back I turned our guestless guest room into a sewing room. I bought fabric to make some curtains but never had the time to make them, so instead I hung up this vintage quilt.

I picked it up for a mere $25. and it appears to be mostly purple....until the sun shines through it. And it turns pink. It's my magic quilt. I know the sun isn't good for it and all the quilters out there are gasping. Not to worry....I am going to put some sheeting behind it.
It makes the whole room glow pink...magic!


Then I decided to play around in Photo Impact Pro and I turned it into a mosaic. It looks cool but doesn't really show up well on here....maybe if you click on it?

I took this picture the other night while riding in the car....yes I wanted it to blur. I was trying to get the beautiful sunset....and look...the spaceships are taking off.

OK...enough craziness for today. I am behind on my homework and need to prepare for the class I am teaching next week and a huge list of other random stuff to get finished so I am out of here.

wickedness

I bought this at JoAnn's a while back for 75% off. They practically paid me to take it. I knew right away what I wanted to do to it.

Of course DH was with me and gave me that look. You know...the what are you going to do with that look.

...well...this is what I did with it.

Now to the wickedness part. We went to see the play...Wicked, last weekend. And it was wicked good! It was OMG good! Words cannot describe it. If you ever get the chance...go and see it!
