Random Friday

Last night DH and I colored eggs.
...just for fun...
...no egg hunt...no kids...no reason.
It took all of 5 minutes.
I remember coloring eggs with the kids and it would last for what seemed like hours or maybe it was.

We mixed and created our own shades of Easter colors.

Woke up at 6 am to a wild hail storm.
It freaked out the cats.
I thought for sure that windows were going to break.

Nickel to quarter size hail balls.

Yesterday I turned on the AC because it was so warm in the house.
Crazy Oklahoma weather.

Paper towel art from the eggs.

Easter cupcakes for DH to take to work.

I love Easter but it's so hard being away from family
My BFF called today to cheer me up.
Thanks Debi!
Happy Easter!!

how sweet, my DH and I do the same thing now, the kids are grown and it just seems like we still need to color eggs. it jusy wouldn't seem like easter without them. So sorry you are away from family but I do hope you get some gorgeous weather that you and your dear husband might enjoy this weekend!

Your Easter Eggs look beautiful, what a lovely array of colours.

Yummy little cupcakes too for the folk at DH's work (I bet they love you).

We've been having some crazy weather over this side of the world too...Flooding, hailstorms, windstorms etc. Scary stuff!

Have a wonderful Easter and dont eat all of those eggs at once!

I'm in awe of your husband playing "color the eggs" with you. I do believe mine would call the paddy wagon on me should I suggest such a thing. Or maybe he would just shake is head. Anyway stay cheerful. xo
ps: will he hide them for you too?

It's funny how time changes things. I think part of the egg dying taking forever, must have been the boiling and cooling time of the eggs. Yours look lovely. I remember doing oil paint swirl eggs once and my mom loved them and kept them for months without any problems. They weren't blown out either. Hope you have a lovely weekend.
