busy...bagz
More bag orders this week. This one is red and black with pink flowers by request. I really love this one.
Today is stay-at-home-and-work-all-day-but-don't-have-to-cook-day. I wasn't on the roster to bowl this week but DH was. So I get to work longer in the studio and forget about cooking dinner. That cooking dinner thing cramps my style/day.
I took Sharon's challenge last weekend and I am making a painting from an old sketch. It should be ready by Friday to show.

a day late
I am a day late here. Had labs to do yesterday. Fasting and all that and I ended up just running around all day. I just got home in time to whip up dinner and that was my day in a nutshell.
Some of you asked if I found any treasures at the Vintage flea market on Saturday. Books! Old books, school books, music books and books with French and German print. Great ephemera!
a very old book from the U.S. Army
But what did I really fall in love with?

But what did I really fall in love with?Isn't it a great old rusty pedal car?! It spoke to me. I love old pedal cars. I thought ...what a great planter this would be...on the front porch. DH looked at me with that look. I don't know...the look like I had two heads or something. But it's OK. At $325.00 it was NO bargain and I walked on.....
Have a good Tuesday. I have to go take the Mustang for an oil change and other fun stuff....not!

play day
Another day of play. This time it's off to the Vintage flea market at Fair Park. It's always the first weekend of the month and I have never been. Not looking for anything special...just looking. Then it's DH's pick for dinner...a toss up between Pearls (cajun) or Ted's (mexican) I don't care which one he chooses. Both are good.

kitty khaos
October has just begun and already Pepper has caused some mischief. She has a thing for plastic bags and now she seems to have a thing for marshmallows. I tucked the bag away under the couch pillow until I got up to put them away. Out of sight ....out of mind and I forgot. Well, she found them and this is what I woke up to find this morning.
She was carrying that bag around in her mouth and yes there were little nibble marks on the marshmallows. Then she decided that they were fun to bat around with her paws. Not so clear photos but you get the point.
After two straight days spent in the studio I am breaking out today and see what kind of mischief I can get into. Ha!
Have an artful weekend!

just for fun
I just love these stamps by Penny-Torrente at Stampotique. And this girl is my favorite.
So I made a multiple shot. Actually I stamped her on my favorite.....paint chip samples and added a little extra color and some printed tissue paper. I am using them on my tags that I use as business cards. That is my favorite tissue paper and I am out of it and can not find it anywhere!
This is what I did yesterday. I am STILL cleaning up the studio and wanted something to store some of my books in. I got a couple of these boxes for free. The store was throwing them away.
I got a roll of prepasted wallpaper at Sherwin Williams for 25 cents. They were in a bucket and I didn't exactly know what the print looked like but I liked the color and for 25 cents you can't go wrong. I wasn't worried about matching up the print. It's just getting shoved into a shelf.I set it outside to dry and......

new stuff
A new month has arrived. This is the time of the year when time really flies. Holidays seem to run into each other and the next thing you know it's a new year. It seems that the older I get the faster time goes by. Yikes!
I got a call from a friend on Friday night that she needed an emergency bag for a Sunday birthday party. No problem....I put this together for her daughters friend.
