Rose the Diva paper doll decided to dress up today.
It is still Breast Cancer Awareness month for one more day so don't forget to schedule your mam-o-cram. I really dread this but it's just something you HAVE to do. I'm good until May.
FYI If you are interested in a Christmas inchy swap hop over to here. The blog Inchy by Inch is having one. So check it out.
Saturday night we went to see Carousel at Rose State College. It was in concert format not an actual play. They didn't advertise it as this but in the back of my mind I had a feeling. Well...it blew us away! I just can not explain how fabulous it was.
I added her to my favorites and you can click on the pouty girl photo on my side bar to go to her blog.
OH GEEZ!! Here it is 10:36 PM Thursday night. I forgot to blog today. I left early this morning to go to the Quilt Guild meeting then I went shopping and got home just in time to cook dinner (after picking up a roasted chicken at Walmart) Then it was time for Greys Anatomy and poof! the day is over. I can't show any quilt photos because I forgot my camera.Tomorrow I go to the cardiologist for the first time. Just having some chest pains so we will see what thats all about. Have to get up early...so I must go now. Thanks for stopping by.

We were married at Abbotts Mill in Houston Delaware. It was where we went on our first date. I wore a Laura Ashley dress and the rest was really simple. Just family (and our families are small ) and a handful of friends. I made the bouquets myself and Bill and I made our cake together. Then we headed off to Mystic, Connecticut for our honeymoon. Short and sweet!
I am back with another one of Michelle Wards GPP Crusades. This one is about your final wishes. I knew I would be participating in this one because I believe in preparing for....well, you know....it's going to happen. It's just a matter of when and no one knows when.
My music is great. Have you ever heard Daniel Rodriguez sing Amazing Grace? It's the best and it's on there. The Prayer by Charlotte Church, Time to Say Goodbye by Sarah Brightman and of course Seasons of Love from RENT.
Just a quick reminder....you have until midnight tonight to make your donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation over at Monicas for your chance to win our Love Squared doll and many other prizes. You can't go wrong on this one. Even my man Tim Holtz has a prize to offer.
We went to the theater this past weekend to see the Pajama Game. We sat ten rows back and it was excellent. Next on the play list is two weeks from now and one of my favorite Rodgers & Hammerstein productions....Carousel. And it is staring Shirley Jones and her son Patrick Cassidy. I love Shirley Jones and I think this was her very first play or movie. I think she was 17. Or maybe it was Oklahoma...not sure.
On that note, Cookie Sunshine is having a give away in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She is giving away one of her signed "Princess Pink" prints (matted and framed) so check it out.
Here is the painted collage I made after accepting Sharons challenge last friday. She said to take an old sketch and finish it. I wish I had taken a before photo because she doesn't look anything like she did on the previous start. She had big bangs and pink hair. So she traded the hair for a hat....somedays I feel like doing that. I know her head is not in proportion with the rest of her body but we have BIG heads in our family. (That is why I can't hide bad hair with a hat....I can't find a cute one to fit this head.)
I cut her out and collaged her onto a canvas that I covered with ripped and inked pages from the books I found at the flea market last weekend. Added a few stamped images here and there.
To finish it all off I added beeswax and a flower on her hat. I like her and think her name should be Bella. Now I think I will pop over to Sharons and see if she and Norah have anything cooked up for this weekend.
More bag orders this week. This one is red and black with pink flowers by request. I really love this one.
Some of you asked if I found any treasures at the Vintage flea market on Saturday. Books! Old books, school books, music books and books with French and German print. Great ephemera!
a very old book from the U.S. Army
But what did I really fall in love with?
