building blocks or boxes?

Boxes! I am having so much fun with these darn recipe boxes.
A late blog entry today as I had to do a fasting blood test today on the other side of town and while I was over there I decided to go shopping. And I got home just in time to make dinner.

...playing with boxes...

I have so many little Tim Holtz doodads that I gave him his own box.

The paint color on this sample is called Gertrude. I think that name fits this stamped girl. That is a very old name....does anyone use it anymore? We once had a bird named Gertrude.

Hello my friend. My maternal grandmother was named Gertrude and they called her Gerti and she was a pistol. Widowed rather young, with 7 daughters, my mother was the youngest and nine at the time. Gerti came to own a bar in Montana not far from the airforce base and that is where my Dad, from Connecticut, was based....that is how he met and fell in love with the youngest of Gerti's girls.

Did you ever tell me if you had any other of the Daniel T. girls rubber stamps? I've come to own a few since I know and used to help out Carol at Stampotique where the stamps were made.

Have a wonderful day...I am home on a mental health day.
